Beryllium Copper Product Specifications
Our beryllium copper meets ASTM B194 specifications and is ideal for an array of applications. Beryllium copper, commonly referred to as BeCu and Alloy 25, exhibits superb electrical and thermal conductivity. It is extremely ductile, and as such can be stamped into complex shapes with tight tolerances. It offers good corrosion and oxidation resistance, and is an excellent choice for:
- Electronic connector contacts
- Telecommunications products
- Small springs
- Computer components
- Other non-sparking applications
Commonly Stocked Beryllium Copper
Mead Metals carries alloy 172 beryllium copper in annealed, quarter-hard, and half-hard tempers from 0.003 to 0.060. Full-hard and mill-hardened tempers are stocked on a limited basis. 17410, 17460, and 17510 are also obtainable.
Beryllium copper combines high strength with non-magnetic and non-sparking qualities. It has excellent metalworking, forming and machining qualities. It has many specialized applications in tools for hazardous environments, musical instruments, precision measurement devices, bullets, and aerospace. Available in small-order quantities, especially for engineering, die trials, and short runs.

Minimum Order Quantity Policy
Our Minimum Order Quantity policy enables us to suit metal product orders of all sizes. Every metal product we provide has its own MOQ, and for beryllium copper, our MOQ is 3#. While we can and will support orders for quantities smaller than this, the minimum lot charge will remain the same for any quantities ordered at or below a metal’s MOQ. Additional variables apply depending on material thickness, width, and additional processing.
